This work deals with the teaching of dance, baby class, for children at school, as a stimulus for the children's imagination and their expressive and corporal possibilities, from a playful dimension of experiential learning. The baby class is one of the first possibilities for the child who wants to dance, because it is in these classes that one tries to show the dance in a playful and affective way in which the folk songs and tales are transformed into movements. We recognize the need, even in childhood, to work with elements that refer to the beginning of the construction of a body consciousness, widely thematized in dance and extended from the psychomotricity and alternative techniques that stimulate sensibility, senses and memories. In this case, our intention is to initiate this trajectory of corporal investigation and to contribute in the construction of a motor vocabulary that allows the child to explore its movements and develop aspects that constitute its corporeity. Thus, the purpose of this writing is to point out ways in which the teaching of the baby class practice can develop the child's stimuli and body perception, such as verifying playfulness as a powerful resource to sharpen the imagination of children experienced in games, games and activities that explore the expression and movement of the body. The different activities of dance go beyond repeated and mechanical steps of the base of the Ballet, as seen in the course of the article, are not only positions, they are ways of transmitting emotions. Faced with this the teaching of the Baby class becomes rewarding to see the motor skills of children who are constantly growing.
