“A bem da verdade”: discurso patronal e luta sindical dos trabalhadores têxteis em Fortaleza (1987-1991).

Este trabalho tem aporte teórico na História Social do Trabalho e fundamenta-se empiricamente em fontes orais, documentos sindicais, empresariais e da Justiça do Trabalho e em jornais da imprensa comercial e sindical. O objetivo principal consiste em dar relevo aos conflitos relacionados à falta de liberdade sindical dos trabalhadores da fábrica Finobrasa. Conflitos que se acirraram após a diretoria do Sindicato dos Trabalhadores Têxteis de Fortaleza iniciar uma campanha de sindicalização na empresa em 1987, chegaram ao ápice durante a primeira greve realizada na Companhia em maio de 1988 e continuaram para além desse período, como em maio de 1991, quando cerca de 70 por cento dos trabalhadores da empresa aderiram à greve geral organizada em nível nacional pela Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT). É possível afirmar que na proporção em que o Sindicato foi estreitando as relações com os trabalhadores, aguçaram-se os conflitos e tensões na empresa. Palavras chave: Trabalhadores têxteis. Discurso.   “This is the truth”: employer discourse and syndical fight on the textile workers’ in Fortaleza city (1987-1991).   Abstract This work has theoretical support in the Social History of Labor and is based empirically on oral sources, union documents, business and Labor Court and in newspapers and union press. The main objective is to emphasize the conflicts related to inexistent freedom of union the workers of the Finobrasa factory. The conflicts that escalated themselves after the board of the Textile Workers Union of Fortaleza city started a campaign of unionization in the enterprise in 1987, reached their peak during the first strike held in the Company in May 1988 and continued beyond that period, as in May 1991, when about 70 percent of the company's employees joined the general strike organized nationally by the Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT). It is possible to affirm that to the extent that the Union was strengthening the links with workers, the conflicts and tensions within the company increased. Keywords: Textile workers. Unionization.
