Cinema by the lenses of Edgar Morin's theories of complexity:: a productive reflection for the present days

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to highlight the productive relationships between Edgar Morin's (1996) theories of complexity and cinema, understood from this frame as a complex art, foreshadowing his later thinking. We work with the hypothesis that the understanding of cinema as a complex art may be relevant to the recent discussion on the different modalities of viewing the film, with the perceived decline of movie theaters as a point of reception for the film. To this be done, not only contributions from theorists of complexity and cultural networks will be mobilized, but also specific contributions from theories of cinematographic form and cinema as a social practice, also from Morin (2014) and the most recent discussion on ontology of cinema, as can be seen in Jacques Aumont (2012), among other authors.

Se juega aquí con la hipótesis de que la comprensión del cine como un arte complejo puede ser relevante para la discusión reciente sobre las diferentes modalidades de visualización de la película, con el declive percibido de las salas de cine como un punto de recepción para la película. Teóricamente, no solo se movilizarán aportes de las teorías de la complejidad y las redes culturales, sino también los aportes específicos de las teorías de la forma cinematográfica y el cine como práctica social, también de Morin (2014) y de la más reciente discusión sobre la ontología del cine, como puede verse en Jacques Aumont (2012), entre otros autores.O propósito deste artigo é evidenciar as relações produtivas entre as teorias da complexidade de Edgar Morin (1996) e o cinema, entendido a partir dessa moldura como arte complexa, prenunciadora de seu pensamento posterior. Joga-se aqui com a hipótese de que o entendimento do cinema como arte complexa pode ser relevante para a recente discussão sobre as diversas modalidades da visualização do filme, com o declínio percebido das salas de cinema como ponto de recepção do filme.
