SPORT IN THE SCHOOL CONTEXT: PUBLICATIONS IN BRAZILIAN JOURNALS BETWEEN 1990-2019

Resumo: The study aims to present an overview of studies produced on sport in the school context, focusing on the production of scientific articles exposed in national journals in the area of Physical Education and Sports. We used eleven journals as a source of this investigation, in the time frame of 1990-2019. The articles were classified into: (a) sport in school physical education classes, (b) sport in extracurricular programs at school. The data reveal a growing interest in sport in the school context over the years. It was identified that most of the articles were published in the last decade investigated and the highest incidence of articles is related to sport in school physical education classes. Therefore, the school assumes an important role as a context for the access and path of young people in sport.

Se utilizó como fuente de esta investigación once revistas, en el período 1990-2019. Los artículos se clasificaron en: (a) el deporte en las clases de educación física escolar, (b) el deporte en los programas extraescolares de la escuela. Los datos revelan un interés creciente por el deporte en el contexto escolar a lo largo de los años. Se identificó que la mayoría de los artículos fueron publicados en la última década investigada y la mayor incidencia de artículos está relacionada con el deporte en las clases de educación física escolar. Por lo tanto, la escuela asume un papel importante como contexto para el acceso y camino de los jóvenes en el deporte.O estudo tem o objetivo de apresentar o panorama dos estudos produzidos sobre o esporte no contexto escolar, com foco nas produções de artigos científicos expostos em periódicos nacionais na área de Educação Física e Esportes. Utilizamos como fonte dessa investigação onze periódicos, no recorte temporal de 1990-2019. Os artigos foram classificados em: (a) esporte nas aulas de educação física escolar, (b) o esporte em programas extracurriculares na escola. Os dados revelam um crescente interesse sobre o esporte no contexto escolar ao longo dos anos. Identificou-se que a maioria dos artigos foi publicado na última década investigada e a maior incidência de artigos está relacionada ao esporte nas aulas de educação física escolar.
