CONSTRUCTION OF EQUIPMENT FOR RACKET SPORTS: AN EDUCATIONAL PRODUCT TO HELP IN PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICE

A problem commonly identified in schools is related to the spaces and materials intended for Physical Education classes and, in the case of racket sports, the situation is more sensitive, as teachers find the lack of materials one of the major factors for not choosing these sports as class content. Thinking about meeting this demand, we created a booklet with eleven different possibilities for making materials to be used in classes, including rackets, balls and adapted shuttlecocks, developed with high school students at the Dom Antônio Campelo de Aragão school, located in Juazeiro do Norte, Ceará, during the racket sports elective. The construction of the materials presented in the booklet proved to be possible and relevant to the dynamics of the classes, enhancing aspects related to cooperative learning, encouraging the creativity of groups and providing greater value for the materials created by the students themselves.
