Summary: | This work addresses the construction of meanings about the covid-19 pandemic in titles of Brazilian children's literary works. This is a qualitative and interpretative bibliographical research supported by the theoretical-methodological assumptions of French-oriented Discourse Analysis based on the Pêcheux studies retheorized by Orlandi. We seek to investigate the paraphrastic and polysemous constructions in the titles of the works in order to identify the discursive regularities, the shifts in meaning and the metaphorical effects around the pandemic theme. The research corpus consisted of 17 titles. We understand that the title is a constituent material of the literary work, triggers discourses, revives memory and, as such, is historically constructed. We found the presence of the paraphrase both in the resumption of recurrent terms in the context of the pandemic, and in the resumption of speeches to combat the virus. As for polysemy, we evidence its presence in works that propose not only the approach to the theme from a fictional narrative, but also the reflection that is anchored in the observance of the feelings caused by the pandemic. |
