Summary: This paper objectives to analyse the relation between lyrics and music in the Cantigas de Santa Maria, searching for clues in the musical notation to the final boundary of the phonological utterance, as a linguistic prosodic constituent, considering the occurrence of poetic enjambments. This research shows that the poetic enjambment does not interfere in the division of the cantigas in phonological utterances, in the prosodic level, and that the main musical correlate to Us final boundaries is the coincidence between the prominent syllable in the U and the initial beat, which is prominent, in the musical level.

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la relación entre letra y música de las Cantigas de Santa María, buscando pistas, en la notación musical de las canciones, del límite final del enunciado fonológico (U) como máximo constituyente de la prosodia lingüística, considerando la ocurrencia de enjambements. A partir del estudio desarrollado, se pudo demostrar que el enjambement no interfiere en la división de las canciones en enunciados fonológicos, a nivel lingüístico prosódico, y el principal correlato a nivel musical del límite final de U es la coincidencia de la sílaba prominente de U con la posición inicial de compás, prominente en el nivel musical. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a relação entre letra e música das Cantigas de Santa Maria, em busca de pistas, na notação musical das cantigas, do limite final do enunciado fonológico (U) enquanto constituinte máximo da prosódia linguística, considerando a ocorrência de encavalgamentos poéticos (enjambements).
