Summary: | Vocational education in the context of the capital of Santa Catarina and from the Republican period is the research theme that promoted the writing of this article. Its purpose was to reflect to what extent the different modalities of vocational education practiced in Florianópolis, of public activity, focused on the socioeconomic profile of local society, especially the formations focused on the universe of clothing production and consumption. .To achieve this goal, primary sources such as state legislation and newspaper advertisements and, also, theses, dissertations and various publications that dealt with the theme, time and society were introduced. Given the vast problem defined, temporal delimitation was established between 1910 and 1993. After analysis, it was concluded that the professional educational projects adopted were not attentive to the socioeconomic reality and not even to the local development project defined by the state management, whose reasons for these decisions are due to the very understanding of what is the productive system of clothing and the social status enjoyed by its professionals. |

Son but était de refléter dans quelle mesure les différentes modalités de l’enseignement professionnel pratiqué à Florianópolis, de l’activité publique, se concentraient sur le profil socio-économique de la société locale, en particulier les formations axées sur les univers de la production et de la consommation de vêtements. Pour atteindre cet objectif, des sources primaires telles que la législation de l’État et les annonces dans les journaux, ainsi que des thèses, des mémoires et diverses publications traitant du thème, de l’époque et de la société ont été introduites. Compte tenu du vaste problème défini, la délimitation temporelle a été établie entre 1910 et 1993. Après analyse, il a été conclu que les projets de formation professionnelle adoptés n’étaient pas attentifs à la réalité socio-économique et même pas au projet de développement local défini par la direction de l’État, dont les raisons de ces décisions sont dues à la compréhension même de ce qu’est le système productif de vêtements et le statut social dont jouissent ses professionnels.O ensino profissionalizante no contexto da capital catarinense e a partir do período republicano é o tema de pesquisa que fomentou a escrita desse artigo. Seu propósito foi refletir em que medida as diferentes modalidades de ensino profissionalizante praticadas em Florianópolis, de inciativa pública, atentou para o perfil socioeconômico da sociedade local, em especial, as formações voltadas para o universo da produção e consumo do vestuário. Para alcançar tal objetivo foram arroladas fontes primárias como legislação estadual e anúncios de jornais e, igualmente, teses, dissertações e publicações diversas que trataram do tema, época e sociedade. Dada a vasta problemática definida, a delimitação temporal foi estabelecida entre 1910 e1993.
