Ancestrality as a Philosophical Principle of an Interwoven Scene: The Creative Process of the Performance "Sobretudo Amor"

Summary: The article discusses the notion of ancestry as a philosophical principle intrinsic to black Brazilian performance, without detaching itself from the dimension of a political and contemporary scene. The artist-researcher starts from the creative process of her solo Sobretudo Amor, in which the dimension of practical and philosophical experience with ancestrality guided the creative process and broadened its reading possibilities. Ancestry anchored in the dimensions of deterritorialization and reterritorialization are the artist's propositions and reflections populated in this research, which was developed as part of the Doctorate in Performing Arts at PPGAC-UFBA.

La artista-investigadora parte del proceso creativo de su solo Sobretudo Amor, en el que la dimensión de la experiencia práctica y filosófica con la ancestralidad orientó el proceso creativo y amplió sus posibilidades de lectura. Ancestralidad anclada en las dimensiones de desterritorialización y reterritorialización son las proposiciones y reflexiones de la artista pobladas en esta investigación, desarrollada en el ámbito del Doctorado en Artes Escénicas del PPGAC-UFBA.L’article aborde la notion d’ascendance comme principe philosophique intrinsèque à la performance noire brésilienne, sans s’éloigner de la dimension d’une scène politique et contemporaine. L'artiste-chercheuse part du processus créatif de son solo d'auteur Sobretudo Amor, dans lequel la dimension de l'expérience pratique et philosophique avec l'ascendance nordique ou le processus créatif a élargi ses possibilités de lecture. Une ascendance ancrée dans les dimensions de déterritorialisation et de reterritorialisation sont les propositions et les réflexions de l'artiste qui peuplent cette recherche, développée dans le cadre du doctorat en arts du spectacle du programme de troisième cycle en arts du spectacle de l'Université fédérale de Bahia. L'auteur établit un dialogue avec les pensées de Leda Maria Martins, Eduardo de Oliveira et Diana Taylor.O artigo discute a noção de ancestralidade como princípio filosófico intrínseco à performance negra brasileira, sem com isso afastar-se da dimensão de uma cena política e contemporânea. A artista-pesquisadora parte do processo criativo de seu solo autoral Sobretudo Amor, no qual a dimensão de vivência prática e filosófica com a ancestralidade norteou o processo criativo e ampliou suas possibilidades de leitura.
