Summary: This text presents the idea of Musicking performances as performances of existence. This idea was developed based on performance conceptions from an artistic and anthropological point of view, drawing connections with musical performances and educational ideas. It was structured through field research, which included online interviews with twelve cello teachers from eight musical spaces for beginning students’ cello teaching and learning in Brazil. This study uses ethnography, autoethnography, and cartography, and considers performances with musical practices as pedagogical processes of representation of ways of existing that extend to everyday life. Ideas are approached as processes in becoming, typical of musicking practices in the action of breaking themselves up and building again under new configurations.

Esta idea se desarrolló a partir de concepciones de las actuaciones desde el punto de vista artístico y antropológico, estableciendo conexiones con las actuaciones musicales y con las ideas de Educación. Se estructuró a través de una investigación de campo, que incluyó entrevistas en línea con doce profesores de violonchelo de ocho espacios de enseñanza y aprendizaje musical para estudiantes principiantes en Brasil. Utiliza la etnografía, la autoetnografía y la cartografía. Considera las actuaciones con prácticas musicales como procesos pedagógicos de representación de modos de existir que se extienden a la cotidianidad. Las ideas son abordadas como procesos en devenir, propios de los musicares en la acción de fragmentarse y construirse bajo nuevas configuraciones.Este texto se estrutura como uma interface entre as áreas de Performance e de Educação Musical. O seu objetivo é apresentar a ideia de Performances com Musicares enquanto Performances de Existência. A ideia de musicar faz referência à concepção de Christopher Small (1999). O texto faz parte de uma pesquisa de Doutorado em andamento que se realiza por meio da etnografia, a autoetnografia e a cartografia como métodos de trabalho. A investigação contou com a pesquisa de campo, sendo realizadas entrevistas on-line com doze professores de violoncelo de oito espaços musicais de ensino e aprendizagem de estudantes iniciantes no Brasil. Entre os resultados apontados pela investigação, se incluem a ideia de que as performances se estruturam sobre contextos sobrepostos e dialógicos.
