The conceptions of teachers of Chemistry of schools centers of excellence of Aracaju/SE on Science, Technology and Society

Resumo: | The CTS approach has been pointed out as an innovative and effective alternative to the problems faced in science teaching. In this context, the present article presents results of a research that aims to present and discuss the results obtained on the conceptions that Chemistry teachers teach in the full-time schools called Experimental Middle Schools and which are also part of the ProEMI ) Of the city of Aracaju / SE present on Science, Technology and Society and their interrelationships. The research has a qualitative approach and as data collection was applied to teachers the VOSTS (Views on Science-Technology-Society) questionnaire, in the abbreviated version adapted by Canavarro (2000). The answers obtained from the teachers were analyzed according to categories described as realistic, acceptable and naive. In general, the professors of Chemistry researched present realistic or acceptable views on the conceptions of science, technology and society and their interrelationships. |

Neste contexto, o presente artigo apresenta resultados de uma pesquisa que visa apresentar e discutir os resultados obtidos sobre as concepções que os professores de Química que lecionam nas escolas de tempo integral, denominadas Centros Médios Experimentais e que também fazem parte do Programa Ensino Médio Inovador (ProEMI), da cidade de Aracaju/SE, apresentam sobre Ciência, Tecnologia, e Sociedade e suas inter-relações. A pesquisa tem abordagem qualitativa e como coleta de dados foi aplicado aos professores o questionário VOSTS (Views on Science-Tecnology-Society), na versão abreviada adaptada por Canavarro (2000). As respostas obtidas dos professores foram analisadas segundo categorias descritas como realistas, aceitáveis e ingênuas. De modo geral, os professores de Química pesquisados apresentam visões realistas ou aceitáveis sobre as concepções de ciência, tecnologia, e sociedade e suas inter-relações.
