Resumo: The Multiprofessional Preceptor Improvement Program for Teaching and Service Integration in Health Territories is an enhancement offered to preceptors in a distance learning and self-instructional format. This article aims to evaluate the first offering of the Program to identify its main strengths and weaknesses. The evaluation process was based on a mixed approach of quantitative and qualitative assessment. The Program had a high completion rate and participant satisfaction, achieved its learning objectives, and promoted changes in the work process. The main weaknesses were the focus on medical content in the courses and the Program's orientation towards primary care, which differed from the profile of the participating professionals. The evaluation of this first offering of the Program will allow for the improvement of future offerings, considering the importance of continuous course offerings for preceptor training.
