Summary: | The hospital environment is based on the integrality of care. Critically ill patients are treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The physiotherapist is part of the multiprofessional team and actively participates in the care of critically ill patients. To analyze the integrated practice of the physiotherapist as a member of the multiprofessional team in an Intensive Care Unit. Quantitative cross-sectional field study, carried out from August 2020 to September 2021, using an electronic questionnaire with 49 physiotherapists from two hospitals in Fortaleza. Descriptive analysis of the collected data was used. Multiprofessional integration happened mainly in multidisciplinary visits, and the main impacts generated from multidisciplinary integration were: Improved communication, effectiveness of care and reduction of complications. Acting in COVID-19 promoted greater interprofessional contact. The physiotherapist plays an important active role as a member of the multiprofessional team in the ICU, offering individualized assistance and ensuring the effectiveness of multiprofessional care. |

Los pacientes críticos son tratados en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI). El fisioterapeuta forma parte del equipo multiprofesional y participa activamente en el cuidado de los pacientes críticos. Analizar la práctica integrada del fisioterapeuta como miembro del equipo multiprofesional en una Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos. Estudio cuantitativo transversal de campo, realizado entre agosto de 2020 y septiembre de 2021, mediante un cuestionario electrónico con 49 fisioterapeutas de cuidados intensivos de dos hospitales de Fortaleza. Se utilizó un análisis descriptivo de los datos recogidos. Según los participantes, la integración multiprofesional se produjo principalmente en las visitas multidisciplinares, y los principales impactos generados por la integración del equipo fueron: mejora de la comunicación, eficacia de los cuidados y reducción de las complicaciones. Afirmaron que trabajar en el COVID-19 promovía una mayor interacción entre el fisioterapeuta y el equipo. El fisioterapeuta desempeña un importante papel activo como miembro del equipo multiprofesional en la UCI, ofreciendo una asistencia individualizada y garantizando la eficacia de los cuidados multiprofesionales.O ambiente hospitalar é fundamentado na integralidade da assistência. Os pacientes graves são atendidos na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. O fisioterapeuta compõe a equipe multiprofissional e participa ativamente nas ações de cuidado ao paciente crítico. Analisar a prática integrada do fisioterapeuta como membro da equipe multiprofissional em Unidade de Terapia Intensiva. Est¬udo de campo, transversal, quantitativo, realizado de agosto de 2020 a setembro de 2021, por meio de um questionário eletrônico com 49 fisioterapeutas de dois hospitais de Fortaleza. Utilizou-se a análise descritiva dos dados coletados. A integração multiprofissional aconteceu principalmente nas visitas multidisciplinares, e os principais impactos gerados da integração multidisciplinar foram: melhora na comunicação, efetivação da assistência e redução das complicações. Atuar na COVID-19 promoveu maior contato interprofissional.
