Summary: Technology has undergone significant evolution over the past few years, which is evident when comparing the games children used to play in the past to those they play today. We live in an era where even babies are exposed to technological resources, and some children are more adept at using these devices than many adults. However, the use of technology through smartphones, computers, tablets, and video games has become so common that it is now seen not only at home but also in public places like restaurants, plazas, parks, and schools. The aim of this study was to review the scientific literature to determine how excessive use of these technological resources has influenced students' behavior in the classroom and their academic performance. It has been observed that there has been a growing number of children and adolescents with various psychological issues in recent years, largely due to exposure to social media, online games, and other internet options available for this age group. There is a need for parental control to ensure that children do not spend excessive time on technology, as well as for school administrations to take action to minimize smartphone and tablet use, prioritizing traditional study methods such as books, notebooks, and blackboards. This approach will help students achieve pedagogical growth and adequate psychological preparation for the workforce and the world.

This approach will help students achieve pedagogical growth and adequate psychological preparation for the workforce and the world.
