“Urgência de um corpo livre do seu enredo”: Nymph and time in Tatiana Faia’s poetry

Summary: This paper proposes a reading of two books by Portuguese poet Tatiana Faia – Leopardo e abstracção (2020) and Adriano (2022) – recognizing ap­pearances of the figure of the Nymph, studied by Aby Warburg and retaken by Georges Didi-Huberman as a theoretical allegory that mobilizes a destabilizing thought about time and its logic. Insistent and fluid, recur­rent and metamorphic, Nymph traverses the history of culture, creating folds between times and between texts, promoting critical crossings of the past and the present. A reflective gesture that seems especially dear to a contemporary poet who also dedicates to classical studies.

Insistente e fluida, reincidente e metamórfica, a Ninfa atravessa a história da cultura, criando dobras entre tempos e entre textos, promovendo cruzamentos críticos do passado e do presente.
