Summary: The idoSOS - intertwined voices project, from the Education and Training Research Centre at the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (ESE/IPS), took place between September 2020 and October 2021, as part of the creation of responses to issues arising from the SARS-Cov-2 pandemic. With the aim of investigating effective intergenerational strategies to reduce the social isolation of the elderly population, value them and strengthen their ability to cope with emergency situations, we sought to create pathways for dialogue and encounters between young people and the elderly that would result in empathic processes of mutual support and learning. This article focuses on the methodologies and strategies adopted and presents the results of the project.

Con el objetivo de investigar estrategias intergeneracionales efectivas para paliar el aislamiento social de la población mayor, valorizándola y fortaleciendo su capacidad para enfrentar situaciones de emergencia, se buscó espacios de diálogo y encuentro entre jóvenes y mayores que redundaran en procesos empáticos y de aprendizaje mutuo. Este artículo se centra en las metodologías y estrategias adoptadas, presentando también los resultados.Le projet idoSOS - intertwined voices, du Centre de recherche sur l'éducation et la formation de l'École supérieure d'éducation de l'Institut polytechnique de Setúbal (ESE/IPS), s'est déroulé entre septembre 2020 et octobre 2021, dans le cadre de la création de réponses aux problèmes découlant de la pandémie de SARS-Cov-2. Dans le but d'étudier des stratégies intergénérationnelles efficaces pour réduire l'isolement social des personnes âgées, les valoriser et renforcer leur capacité à faire face aux situations d'urgence, nous avons cherché à créer des canaux de dialogue et de rencontre entre les jeunes et les personnes âgées qui déboucheraient sur des processus empathiques de soutien et d'apprentissage mutuels. Teve como objetivo investigar estratégias intergeracionais eficazes para minorar o isolamento social da população idosa, valorizá-la e reforçar a sua capacidade de enfrentar situações de emergência, procurou-se criar vias para o diálogo e encontro entre jovens e pessoas idosas que resultassem em processos empáticos de apoio e aprendizagem mútua.
