Summary: This work arises from the need to understand the heterogeneity of which the contemporary city lives. From the case study of the street road is generally considered the fragmented and diffuse city in which is built on many aspects a new platform for social relationship. Particular attention is directed to the central object of study: passerelle's architecture built along the line of traffic. The initial part of this study serves as a motto, which through a "history" presents the case study and subject to decompose. Here are highlighted the issues that will be scrutinized and subsequently developed. As such, this introduction should be considered as an engine for the entire analysis throughout the work. After this presentation takes place a contextualization, where are analyzed some factors that led to the splinter of the compact city. In a first instance, the mobile emergency and the infrastructure that makes it possible are the elements to be dissected. Elements which originated the transition from the city to the urban, and therefore the establishment of a new identity and imaginary order. Subsequently, particular studies are developed with regard to the marginal constituents of the transit line, taking into account the exhibit feature that this keeps. The multiplicity of uses that the line speed allows is the basis of analysis for understanding the eclectic diversity reflected in the passerelle's architecture. The visibility subject, inherent to the banal architecture in the side of the road is the main mean to achieve the overwhelmingly issue proposed: consumption. After the presented investigation and as an approach to the final notes, the last part of the work reflects on the (non)existing relationship between the ordinary architecture practiced near the road, compared with the erudite architecture of author.
