Resumo: Osteoporosis is a systemic skeletal disease, characterized by low boné mass and by changing the boné microstructure. According to the Portuguese Society of Osteoporosis and Metabolic Boné Diseases (SPODOM), this disease affects about 500,000 people in Portugal.
