Resumo: This paper focuses on creative, experimental or unconventional uses of EbSynth. Utilising non-parametric texture synthesis, this tool allows for many different functions to become more time efficient; rotoscoping, masking, stylization, tracking and mass editing. These advantages and their disadvantages are examined while comparing these new methodologies to historical exemplars and similar research in the academic sector. The primary experimental method being nonlinear representation, i.e. rotoscoping a video of something different than the drawn subject, utilising mimicry, for example using a video of a poached egg to represent a human eye. The final product for this project is a creative video whose visuals are a demonstration of the methodology’s possible output. The visuals presented and how to attain them, are explained throughout this text. This methodology is suitable for animators of all experience levels, as the technology being discussed is extremely new with lots to explore and does not require many resources to use.
