A expansão de áreas agrícolas apresenta efeitos ambientais significativos, estando os artrópodes do solo entre os organismos mais afetados. Os objetivos deste trabalho são estudar a distribuição de artrópodes do solo nos habitats agrícolas (vinha) e semi-naturais (montado) adjacentes, e compreender se, e como, varia essa distribuição entre estes habitats e áreas de transição (interface). A área onde se realizou a amostragem de artrópodes localiza-se na Herdade de São Miguel, pertencente à empresa Casa Relvas. A amostragem foi feita utilizando armadilhas de queda. A maioria das ordens de artrópodes apresentaram maior abundância na vinha, com algumas preferindo o interface, revelando a importância da vinha para a biodiversidade dos habitats adjacentes. Os carabídeos também parecem ter sido influenciados pelos fatores da vinha, sendo que não são influenciados pela distância ao montado. As características associadas à vinha parecem contribuir para a maior abundância de artrópodes; Distribution of soil arthropods in agricultural (vineyard) and adjacent semi-natural (montado) habitats Abstract: The expansion of agricultural areas has significant environmental effects and soil arthropods are among the most affected. The objectives of this work are to study the distribution of soil arthropods in agricultural (vinha) and adjacent semi-natural (montado) habitats, and to understand if, and how, this distribution varies between these habitats and in transition areas (interface). The area where the arthropod sampling was carried out is located in Herdade de São Miguel, belonging to the company Casa Relvas, and the sampling used was pitfall traps. Most of the analyzed arthropods’ orders were more abundant in the Vineyard, with some preferring the interface, showing the importance of the vineyard for the biodiversity of adjacent habitats. The carabids also seem to be influenced by factors of the vineyard, but not by the distance to the montado. The characteristics associated with the vineyard seem to contribute to a greater abundance of arthropods.
