A evolução das vias de comunicação é um dos principais elementos impulsionadores do desenvolvimento da freguesia. Contudo, este crescimento tem vindo a prejudicar a comunidade, com a construção de infraestruturas rodoviárias e ferroviárias que geram a segregação. Neste contexto, a estratégia de projeção de corredores urbanos revela-se como uma premissa que está essencialmente relacionada com a qualidade de vida da população.Estas diretrizes serviram como base ao desenvolvimento de uma proposta para Marvila, um território disperso e, em muitos momentos, sem continuidade territorial. A proposta apre- sentada insere-se numa estratégia geral de ligação urbana, desde a Quinta dos Alfinetes até à Zona Ribeirinha promovendo essa continuidade. Pretende-se a restruturação da malha urba- na, proporcionando elementos de coesão territorial e social, através da criação de programas e equipamentos de carácter desportivo cultural, social e sobretudo de lazer, proporcionando o bem-estar da comunidadeO projeto pretende dar resposta a estas problemáticas, permitindo a transposição das barrei- ras físicas existentes entre a nova Marvila dos Bairros Sociais, a velha Marvila Industrial à Meia Encosta e a Marvila Portuária através de um corredor urbano, culminando na frente fluvial, onde se localiza a proposta individual: o Museu-Fluviário do Tejo desenvolvido a partir dos conceitos de corredor urbano e ecomuseu. É dedicado à temática marítimo-fluvial, construído a partir da relação entre a natureza e a cultura. Pretende documentar, conservar, investigar, interpretar e valorizar questões referentes ao rio Tejo, com vista à preservação do seu patrimó- nio.Este edifício assume-se como um equipamento de remate, pois a sua relação com o rio pro- porcionará uma nova experiência museológica aos habitantes e visitantes de Marvila. Pre- tende-se, assim, que a comunidade desempenhe também nele um papel integrante, com o intuito de reforçar a relação com o rio Tejo. Sendo este, um dos elementos mais estruturantes da paisagem, o Museu-Fluviário do Tejo assume-se também como espaço do seu património natural.Ao desenvolvimento deste projeto estão implícitos os princípios de revitalização da frente ri- beirinha, procurando devolver o rio à cidade e às pessoas, e promovendo, ao mesmo tempo, a cultura e o lazer.It is the purpose of this dissertation to present a project that seeks to provide mobility alterna- tives to the population and at the same time promote the cohesion and dynamization of the territory of Marvila. The evolution of the means of communication is one of the main drivers of the development of the parish. However, this growth has been harming the community, with the construction of road and rail infrastructures that generate segregation. In this con- text, the urban corridor projection strategy reveals itself as a premise that is essentially related to the population’s quality of life.These guidelines served as the basis for the development of a proposal for Marvila, a disper- sed territory and, in many moments, without territorial continuity. The proposal presented is part of a general strategy of urban connection, from Quinta dos Alfinetes to the Riverside Zone, promoting this continuity. The aim is to restructure the urban fabric, providing elements of territorial and social cohesion, through the creation of programs and equipment of a cultu- ral, social and, above all, leisure nature, providing the well-being of the community.The project intends to respond to these problems, allowing the transposition of the existing physical barriers between the new Marvila dos Bairros Sociais, the old Marvila Industrial at Meia Encosta and Marvila Portuária through an urban corridor, culminating in the river front, where the individual proposal: the Tagus River Museum developed from the concepts of urban corridor and ecomuseum. It is dedicated to the maritime-river theme, built from the rela- tionship between nature and culture. It intends to document, conserve, investigate, interpret and value issues related to the Tagus River, with a view to preserving its heritage.This building is assumed as a finishing piece, as its relationship with the river will provide a new museological experience to the inhabitants and visitors of Marvila. It is therefore inten- ded that the community also play an integral role in it, with the aim of strengthening the rela- tionship with the Tagus River.
