Deste modo, a logística surge como uma das soluções que permitem às empresas dar o passo para se sobreporem aos seus concorrentes, nomeadamente através do outsourcing. A formulação e implementação do outsourcing, numa organização, exige uma ponderação imensa, pelo que é necessário ter em conta uma série de fatores como, por exemplo, a avaliação e seleção do parceiro de negócios.O presente documento começa por fazer uma breve descrição acerca da terceirização dos serviços de logística, com base em material académico publicado na área. Define-se o conceito de logística, supply chain management e outsourcing. Apontam-se as diferenças existentes entre a logística tradicional e os contratos de logística, identificando os diferentes tipos de organizações que vendem serviços de outsourcing, as motivações que levam as organizações a optar por esta estratégia, as vantagens, desvantagens e riscos, os fatores a ter em conta e os fatores críticos de sucesso. É ainda abordada a avaliação e seleção do parceiro de negócios. Em seguida, são descritas as entidades de acolhimento envolvidas no estágio, Arvato Services Healthcare e Efyma Services, e as atividades desenvolvidas pelo estagiário, no decurso do mesmo, sendo estas atividades especificadas, por setor. Por fim, é ainda descrito um estudo de caso, envolvendo um projeto de remodelação do sistema de destruição de um dos clientes da entidade de acolhimento, no qual o estagiário participou.Given the economic climate that is felt, the organizations are forced to find new mechanisms to obtain competitive advantages, since their market action is permanently threatened. In this way, logistics is one of the solutions that allow companies to take the step of overcoming their competitors, namely through outsourcing. The formulation and implementation of outsourcing in an organization requires immense consideration, and a number of factors have to be taken into account, such as the evaluation and selection of the business partner.This document begins by giving a brief description of what is logistics outsourcing, based on the existing state-of-the-art. Concepts like logistics, supply chain management and outsourcing are introduced. The differences between traditional logistics and logistics contracts, the different types of organizations that sell outsourcing services, the motivations that lead organizations to choose this strategy, the advantages, disadvantages and risks involved are also defined. The features that should be taken into account as well as the critical success factors are identified, not forgetting the evaluation and selection of the business partners. Next, the host entities involved in the internship, Arvato Services Healthcare and Efyma Services, and the activities developed by the trainee in the course of the internship are described.
