Através da regulação por um relógio endógeno, é possível antecipar as alterações no meio envolvente e coordenar os processos biológicos. BMAL1 e CLOCK, enquanto fatores de transcrição, regulam a expressão dos genes CRY e PER através de vários padrões de expressão. Os ROR e os REV-ERB, através da ligação competitiva ao RORE na região do promotor do BMAL1, têm a capacidade de ativar ou reprimir, respetivamente, a atividade do fator de transcrição BMAL1 e a expressão das proteínas. Sendo o ROR associado ao ritmo circadiano, é fulcral compreender o papel que os ligandos do ROR, sintéticos e naturais, podem exercer quer na regulação do relógio endógeno, quer nas patologias subadjacentes. Sendo a melatonina uma neuro-hormona reconhecida pela sua intervenção no Ritmo Circadiano, é essencial estabelecer a relação com o ROR e de que forma esta hormona tem capacidade de ligar e afetar a atividade do recetor. Pelo seu reconhecido valor na regulação do ritmo circadiano, esta revisão procura compreender os ligandos naturais e sintéticos associados ao ROR, assim como as perspetivas para o futuro./ O Mestrado Integrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas culmina na Unidade Curricular “Estágio Curricular” com a realização de estágios. A profissão farmacêutica em Portugal tem evoluído exponencialmente ao longo do tempo, tendo como objetivo essencial a pessoa do utente e a satisfação das suas necessidades. Em diversos casos, a Farmácia Comunitária é a única estrutura acessível à população, sendo um local onde o utente vai em distintos casos e situações. O Farmacêutico é fundamental na sociedade, sendo um profissional de saúde qualificado para um aconselhamento diferenciador e fundamental nas diversas situações que lhe são apresentadas. O Estágio Curricular em Farmácia Comunitária tem um enorme impacto no culminar da formação dos futuros farmacêuticos, sendo fulcral para um maior aprofundamento dos conhecimentos e capacitação dos estudantes de farmácia./ A Unidade Curricular “Estágio Curricular” culmina os estudos do Mestrado Integrado em Ciências Farmacêuticas através da realização de estágios. É dada a oportunidade aos estudantes finalistas de estagiarem em diversas áreas, promovendo a aquisição e o aprofundamento de ferramentas essenciais para o mercado de trabalho. A Indústria Farmacêutica agrega em si diversas áreas, causando um notório impacto na sociedade. O Estágio Curricular no Setor de Investigação e Inovação da Bluepharma Indústria Farmacêutica, S.A., fomentou a compreensão do desenvolvimento de métodos e formulações na fase inicial do desenvolvimento do medicamento.The Circadian Rhythm plays a major role in controlling behavioral, mental, and physiological activity in a 24-hour day-night cycle. Through the regulation of an endogenous clock, the body can anticipate changes in the environment, and coordinate the biological processes. BMAL1 and CLOCK, as transcriptional factors, regulate the expression of PER and CRY genes through different patterns of expression. ROR and REV-ERB, through competitive binding to RORE in the promoter region of BMAL1, can activate or repress, respectively, the transcriptional activity of BMAL1 and the proteins. Being ROR associated with Circadian Rhythm, it's essential to comprehend the role of ROR ligands, both synthetic and natural, in the regulation of the endogenous clock and related pathologies. Being Melatonin a neurohormone recognized for its role in the Circadian Rhythm, it's essential to establish a relationship between ROR and the capacity to bind and affect the receptor. Because of the recognized importance in the regulation of the Circadian Rhythm, in this review, we focus on the role of the ROR synthetic and natural ligands, with a perspective for the future./ The Integrated Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences culminates in the Curricular Unit “Curricular Internship” with the achievement of internships. The pharmacy profession in Portugal has evolved exponentially through the years, with the main point in the patient and the satisfaction of their necessities. In diverse cases, the Community Pharmacy is the only structure accessible to the population, being a place where the patient goes in distinct cases and situations. The Pharmacist is fundamental in society, being a qualified healthcare professional with a differentiated counseling and fundamental in diverse situations. The Curricular Internship has a major impact at the end of the formation of the future pharmacists, being fundamental for a more profound knowledge and capacitation of the pharmacy students./ The Curricular Unit “Curricular Internship” culminates the studies of the Integrated Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences with the achievement of internships. It’s given the opportunity to the finalists’ students to achieve an internship in diverse areas, promoting the acquisition and deepening of the essential tools for the job market. The Pharmaceutical Industry aggregates in herself distinct areas, causing a notorious impact in the society.
