Por sua vez, os processos cognitivos melhoram quando existe motivação, pois os alunos prestam mais atenção e procuram entender o que estão a aprender. Consequentemente, os melhores resultados reforçam a motivação e quanto mais motivado estiver um aluno, melhor será o seu desempenho. Contudo, muitas vezes os alunos encontram-se em situações de desmotivação relativamente à escola, ou não fosse esta de cariz obrigatório. Esta situação leva a que os professores tenham de considerar a motivação como uma parte importante do seu trabalho, procurando melhorar a sua prestação e a dos seus educandos. O docente deve estar motivado para o desempenho das suas funções, uma vez que este é um fator crucial para que os alunos também estejam motivados, procurando despertar a motivação intrínseca dos discentes. Relativamente à estrutura deste relatório, este divide-se em duas partes. Na primeira parte faz-se uma descrição do meio e da escola onde realizei o estágio pedagógico. Está também incluída, nesta parte, uma reflexão relativa à minha prática pedagógica supervisionada nas turmas de Português e de Latim.Na segunda parte do relatório, é feita uma revisão da literatura acerca da motivação, de forma a fundamentar o tema escolhido. São também apresentadas as propostas didáticas realizadas em sala de aula. Por fim, é feita uma análise dos inquéritos preenchidos pelos alunos com o objetivo de recolher dados sobre a motivação para a aprendizagem.Nas considerações finais, faço uma reflexão baseada na perceção dos resultados obtidos durante a prática pedagógica e uma reflexão sobre os resultados dos inquéritos.Motivation is a very important part of the teaching/learning process, since it drives behaviour to achieve certain goals through greater effort, greater energy and greater persistence. In turn, cognitive processes improve when there is motivation, as students pay more attention and try to understand what they are learning. Consequently, the best results reinforce motivation and the more motivated a student is, the better his performance will be. However, students are often in situations of demotivation regarding school, since it is compulsory. This situation leads to teachers having to consider motivation as an important part of their work, thus improving their performance and that of the students. The teacher must be motivated for the performance of his duties, as this is a crucial factor to awaken the intrinsic motivation of the students.The structure of this report is divided into two parts. In the first part, a description of the environment and the school where I completed the pedagogical stage is made. It is also included, in this part, a reflection on my pedagogical practice supervised in the Portuguese and Latin classes.In the second part of the report, a review of the literature on motivation is made, to base the chosen theme. The didactic proposals made in the classroom are also presented.
