Utilizing a two-phase methodology, the research first extracts perceived boundaries through web-based surveys categorized by residents' length of stay, distinguishing between short-term (less than 10 years) and long-term residents (more than 10 years). This approach allows for an overlay analysis, identifying Core and Domain regions based on consensus thresholds. Secondly, the study retrieves geo-tagged boundaries using A-DBSCAN and alpha-shape algorithms to analyze online activity, offering a comparative analysis with the perceived boundaries. The findings reveal a nuanced understanding of how residents and online users conceptualize neighborhood spaces, highlighting discrepancies and convergences between perceived and digital mappings. By calculating the Intersection Over Union (IOU) and F-scores, the research quantitatively assesses the overlap between different data sources, identifying the most accurate delineations that reflect the historic neighborhoods' spatial reality. This study contributes to urban planning and policymaking by providing insights into residents' spatial perceptions, emphasizing the importance of considering both lived experiences and digital footprints in the mapping of urban areas.
