Aborda a história e a evolução do canal, desde a sua abertura, à inovação mundial com a passagem para premium e com a aquisição dos direitos dos jogos do Benfica em casa, direitos que mantém até à presente data e que expiram no final da época desportiva atual (2018/2019). Este relatório aborda também a evolução da televisão portuguesa, desde o aparecimento dos dois primeiros canais generalistas privados, a SIC (1992) e a TVI (1993). Na década seguinte, a televisão portuguesa assistiu ao boom dos canais por cabo e, mais tarde, dos canais pagos. Atualmente, o consumidor televisivo quer ver vários canais temáticos, onde pode escolher o que ver em substância. Os canais Sport TV revolucionaram a forma de ver desporto (maioritariamente futebol) no nosso país. A aquisição dos direitos televisivos de várias ligas europeias por parte da BTV, caso da Liga Inglesa, da Liga Francesa e da Liga Italiana (três das cinco ligas mais vistas a nível mundial) abriu a possibilidade de novos canais de desporto em Portugal. Outro tema abordado é a forma como evoluiu a relação entre o desporto e a televisão, aqui mais centrado nos canais generalistas. Por fim, é abordado o tema da parcialidade vs. imparcialidade, aplicado ao caso do jornalismo desportivo e também à BTV, aos seus profissionais, que se gerem pelos valores citados no Código Deontológico do Jornalista e pelos princípios éticos da profissão.This report focuses on the curriculum internship at Benfica TV (BTV) between September and December 2017. It covers the history and evolution of the channel, from its opening, to worldwide innovation with the transition to premium and the acquisition of rights of the Benfica games at home, which it holds to date, which expire at the end of the current sporting season (2018/2019). This report also discusses the evolution of Portuguese television, from the appearance of the first two private general channels, SIC (1992) and TVI (1993). In the following decade, Portuguese television witnessed the boom of cable channels and, later, of paid channels. Currently, the television consumer wants to see several thematic channels, where they can choose what to see in substance. Sport TV channels have revolutionized the way we watch sports (mostly football) in our country. The acquisition of the television rights of several European leagues on the part of BTV, in the case of the English League, the French League and the Italian League (three of the five most-watched leagues worldwide), opened the possibility of new sport channels in Portugal. Another topic addressed is the way in which the relationship between sport and television evolved, here more focused on generalist channels.
