Experiências na maternidade de primíparas tardias: um estudo qualitativo

Este estudo propõe-se discutir a vivência da primiparidade tardia, ou seja, a primeira gravidez a partir dos 35 anos de idade. Para isto, foram selecionadas 3 mulheres, dentro de um grupo de 15 primíparas que responderam ao anúncio feito nas redes sociais para a participação deste estudo. As participantes são de nacionalidades portuguesa e brasileira, que tiveram seus filhos com idades entre os 41 e os 45 anos. A análise das narrativas das participantes com o uso do método fenomenológico permitiram identificar algumas unidades de significados que geraram dez constituintes essenciais, que são: (1) Significado de ser mãe; (2) Adiamento da maternidade; (3) Vivência na gravidez; (4) Corpo grávido; (5) A idade e a maternidade; (6) Representação do parto; (7) Vivência da maternidade; (8) Apoio recebido; (9) A sexualidade e (10) O trabalho e a maternidade. De uma forma geral, a experiência da maternidade tardia neste estudo é vista como positiva e não foi considerada tardia, mas o momento ideal ou mais apropriado; ABSTRACT: Experiences in delayed motherhood of primiparous: a qualitative study This study proposes to discuss the experience of the late primiparity, a first pregnancy from the age of 35 years old. For this, 3 women were selected from 15 primiparous. The method of selecting the sample was done via an announcement placed on the social networks. The participants are Portuguese and Brazilian nationalities who gave birth their children between the ages of 41 and 45 years old. Through the narratives of the participants using of the phenomenological method was identified a number of meaning units that generated ten essential constituents, which are the following: (1) Meaning of being a mother; (2) Delay of the maternity; (3) Experience in pregnancy; (4) Pregnant body; (5) The age and motherhood; (6) The representation of childbirth; (7) Experience of motherhood; (8) Support received; (9) Sexuality and (10) Work and the maternity. In general, the experience of the late motherhood in this study is seen as positive and it was not considered late, but the ideal or the most appropriate time.
