In the second and final year of the Master's degree in Clinical Research Management, the Curricular Internship in Clinical Trials Coordination took place at the Lusíadas Knowledge Center (LKC), from the Lusíadas Saúde group, with emphasis on the Lusíadas Lisboa Hospital and the Cascais Hospital. This internship, as a Clinical Trial Coordinator, aimed to monitor and develop coordination activities of Clinical Trials and Observational Studies, over the course of 6 months. The development of this internship aimed to deepen and put into practice the theoretical skills acquired throughout the Master's degree in a real work environment, also enabling the experience to enter the labor market. In addition to the Internship, it was proposed to be an integral part of the Project: "Projeto Invisível", to be developed at the Cascais Hospital, in partnership with Positive Benefits, which consisted of a new rapid test for the determination of "serological signature" of SARS-CoV-2 with smartphone technology. In the scope of the development of this project came the theme "The Monetization of Clinical Research and the Role of a Business Model".
