This research aims to take a sound art approach to the creation of a sound installation that includes the soundscapes of recordings in the Azores. To this end, this work analyzes the bibliography, catalogs of works, and other sources to develop a generative system that responds to movement and human interaction. The installation creates a captivating atmosphere by blending the familiar sounds of the Azores. The study explores methodological elements alongside the influence of contextual factors on the listener's perception and how designing interactions can captivate viewers and immerse them in the auditory environment. This research aims to develop a generative sound installation that incorporates recordings of the soundscapes of the Azores, interacting with human movement. The specific objectives are the study and conceptual discussion of the notion of Sound Art and sound compositions. The creation of a taxonomy of recordings made in the Azores. The development of the design and implementation of the sound installation. Testing and analyzing user interactions with the installation. Due to the relevance and importance of sound and the insertion of new technological possibilities, for the Internship/Dissertation curricular unit project, the purpose is the creation of a sound installation with a generative system.O tema surgiu inicialmente de um projeto chamado Soundscape4DEI, onde o foco principal era a criação de composições de paisagens sonoras sobre o Departamento, que começou como uma base para a investigação seguinte. Esta investigação pretende fazer uma abordagem de arte sonora para a criação de uma instalação sonora que inclua as paisagens sonoras de gravações nos Açores. Para tal, este trabalho analisa a bibliografia, catálogos de obras e outras fontes para desenvolver um sistema generativo que responde ao movimento e à interação humana. A instalação cria uma atmosfera cativante ao misturar os sons familiares dos Açores. O estudo explora elementos metodológicos juntamente com a influência de factores contextuais na perceção do ouvinte e a forma como a conceção de interações pode cativar os espectadores e mergulhá-los no ambiente auditivo. Esta investigação tem como objetivo desenvolver uma instalação sonora generativa que incorpora gravações das paisagens sonoras dos Açores, interagindo com o movimento humano. Os objectivos específicos são o estudo e a discussão concetual da noção de Arte Sonora e de composições sonoras. A criação de uma taxonomia das gravações efectuadas nos Açores. O desenvolvimento do projeto e implementação da instalação sonora. Testar e analisar as interações dos utilizadores com a instalação.
