Summary: | This school placement report describes the activities and experiences during my teaching internship, carried out at cooperate school, in the 2023/2024 academic year. The main objective of the internship was to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the course in a school context, develop effective pedagogical strategies and obtain practical experience in managing and involving students. During school placement, I actively participated in various teaching activities, including lesson planning, and consequently teaching, student assessment and involvement in extracurricular activities. I faced several challenges, such as managing behavior in class and adapting lesson plans to meet students' diverse needs, which provided valuable learning experiences. The report also includes a reflective analysis of my teaching practices and my professional growth, of different stages and situations that marked my academic year, such as the differentiation of the role of teacher and coach, students without the possibility of taking practical classes, the importance of assessments in student performance, among others. All of these aspects contributed to this year being a transformative experience that contributed significantly to my development as a teacher. The insights gained and skills acquired will certainly influence my teaching practices and future professional endeavors. At the end of this internship report, there is a research study carried out throughout the year with the aim of analyzing students' perception of social support and its influence on motivation and practice of physical education. The research involved the application of questionnaires to primary and secondary school students. Preliminary results indicated that a high level of social support is strongly correlated with greater student motivation to participate in physical education classes. In this way, they highlight the importance of fostering a solid support network within the school and family environment in order to promote healthy habits and a positive attitude towards physical education. |
