Resumo: This article is a contribution for a better analysis of the problem of clandestine housing, those which are built without any licences (allotment and building). The central target is the comprehension of this phenomenon as a urbanistic reality trying to analyse its both implications social and economical, based on the study of two clandestine quarters of the «Vila Nova de Gaia's» municipality. We would also remarked the factor's responsible of this situation, and considering the characteristics of the social-economics groups involved.
