Geograficamente, a área de estudo é de cordenadas 125º16ꞌ00ꞌꞌ E - 125º21ꞌ00ꞌꞌ E e 09º08ꞌ45ꞌꞌ S - 09º10ꞌ30ꞌꞌ S, está localizada a ± 15 km da região de Bobonaro.O estudo envolveu várias fases de trabalho, tais como: (1) a fase de preparação, (2) a fase de trabalho de campo, incluindo amostragem, mapeamento geológico, (3) análise laboratorial com preparação de amostras, petrografia e análise geoquímica (4) processamento de dados (5), elaboração da fase finalAs rochas vulcânicas são mugearitos, andesitos, dacitos e andesitos basálticos. Muitas rochas ocorrem como brechas e mostram um baixo grau metamórfico. Outras rochas são serpentinitos, mármores e rochas de calco-silicatadas, com alto teor de CaO. As rochas vulcânicas pertencem à série de rochas calco-alcalinas e estão relacionados a um ambiente geodinâmico do arco continental.Os dacitos, andesitos e andesitos basálticos têm padrões REE muito semelhantes, que são diferentes dos padrões dos mugearitos. As rochas metamórficas e mistas têm um padrão REE muito variável e o serpentinito possui um padrão semelhante ao MORB.Os sedimentos de linhas de água têm uma composição química diferente das rochas que afloram na mesma área, exceto as rochas ultrabásicas. Este sedimento tem valores de níquel e crómio anómalos. Seis amostras de sedimentos de linhas de água têm valores de elementos relacionados com sulfuretos (As, Pb, Cu, Au, Hg, Sb) acima dos valores de patamar, indicando que esses locais de amostragem precisam de mais prospecção e realizada a uma maior escala.The study area is located in Lupal Village, Lolotoe Post Administrative, Bobonaro Municipality, Timor Leste. Geographically the study area is at 125º16ꞌ00ꞌꞌ E - 125º21ꞌ00ꞌꞌ E and 09º08ꞌ45ꞌꞌ S - 09º10ꞌ30ꞌꞌ S, coordenates it is located far as ± 15 km from the Bobonaro Region.The study involved several work phases such as: (1) the preparation phase, (2) field work phase including sampling, geological mapping, (3) laboratory analysis with sample preparation, petrography and geochemical analysis (4) data processing (5), final phase elaboration.The volcanic rocks are mugearites, andesites, dacites and basaltic andesites. Many rocks occur as breccia and show a low metamorphic grade. Other rocks are serpentintes, marbles and calc-silicate rocks which have high contents of CaO. The volcanic rocks belong to the calc-alkaline rock series and are related to a geodynamic setting of continental arc.The dacites, andesites and basaltic andesites have very similar REE patterns, which are different from mugearites patterns. The metamorphic and mixed rocks have REE pattern very variable and the serpentinite has a patterns similar to MORB.Stream sediments have a chemical composition which is different from the rocks that outcrop in the same area, except for the ultrabasic rock. This has high anomalies in chromium (Cr), and nickel (Ni) elements.
