Resumo: Artigo que pretende dar uma visão diacrónica sobre o património arquitectónico de origem árabe-islâmica em Portugal, a sua relação com o Norte de África e o resto do mundo islamizado, e quais os resultados de novas hipóteses levantadas e as perspectivas de estudo e de valorização desse património transnacional e transcontinental nas suas origens e formulações formais.
