Summary: This research aims at a contribution to the study of the experiences of Portuguese immigrant women in the city of São Paulo in the period 1920 to 1940. The proposal seeks to reclaim the everyday actions and clashes in which these immigrants were involved. Thus, it was a privileged varied documentation, especially the register of DEOPS (State Department of Social and Political Order), the records of immigrants from the Immigration Memorial/São Paulo, the expulsion procedures deposited in the National Archives/Rio de Janeiro, and sources Portuguese police preserved in the Archives of Torre do Tombo in Lisbon (Portugal).
