Summary: This article analyzes the discursive forms and performativity present in the trajectory and campaign of state deputy Jucélia Freitas, Tia Ju, taken as strategies1 for reelection to the position in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in the 2018 and 2022 elections. a female, black and religious candidate in a party with strong ties to the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God (IURD). The question is, what speeches and practices enabled a black woman to occupy such a prominent space of power, in a party linked to a religious institution, in institutional contexts in which women are not protagonists? This is one of the central questions of the text.

La pregunta es ¿qué discursos y prácticas permitieron a una mujer negra ocupar un espacio de poder tan destacado, en un partido vinculado a una institución religiosa, en contextos institucionales en los que las mujeres no son protagonistas? Esta es una de las preguntas centrales del texto.Este artigo analisa as formas discursivas e a performatividade presentes na trajetória e campanha da deputada estadual Jucélia Freitas, a Tia Ju, tomadas como estratégias1 para a reeleição ao cargo no estado do Rio de Janeiro, nas eleições de 2018 e 2022. Trata-se de uma candidatura feminina, negra e religiosa em um partido de fortes vínculos com a Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus (IURD).
