Summary: The influence of metals in water bodies may generate damage to the aquatic biota, thus, effective methods for predicting these compounds and their maximum allowed concentrations are important to ensure environmental stability. The purpose of this work was to collect water samples in Imboassica Lagoon, in the summer of 2019, to obtain the chemical parameters, which were inserted in the Biotic Ligand Model program (BLM WindWard Software 2.1) in order to obtain copper acute toxicity results, using the fish Onchorhynchus mykiss as model organism. Toxicity (LC50) ranged from 23.14 µg.L-1 to 758.94 µg.L-1 resulting in a Water Quality Criteria (WQC) of 354,61 ± 163,39 μg.L-1. The results showed BLM as a tool compatible with the manager's need to obtain fast and accurate data on limit concentration of trace metals in the aquatic environment in order to contribute to the principles of sustainability.

El propósito de este trabajo fue recolectar muestras de agua de la Laguna de Imboassica, durante el verano de 2019, para obtener los parámetros químicos a introducir en el p      rograma Biotic Ligand Model (BLM WindWard Software 2.1) para obtener resultados de toxicidad aguda del cobre, utilizando como organismo modelo al pez Onchorhynchus mykiss. la toxicidad varió de 23,14 µg.L-1 a 758,94 µg.L-1, resultando en un criterio de calidad del agua de 354,61 ± 163,39 μg.L-1. Los resultados muestran el BLM como una herramienta compatible con la necesidad del administrador en obtener datos rápidos y precisos sobre la concentración límite de trazas de metales en el medio ambiente acuático para contribuir a los principios de mantención del ambiente acuático.A influência do metal em corpos hídricos mostra-se capaz de gerar danos à biota aquática; por esse motivo, métodos eficazes para predição desses metais e de suas concentrações limite são importantes, de forma a garantir a estabilidade do ambiente. O propósito do trabalho foi coletar amostras de água na Lagoa de Imboassica, no período do verão de 2019, para obtenção dos parâmetros químicos, que foram inseridos no programa Biotic Ligand Model (BLM WindWard Software 2.1) para obtenção de resultados de toxicidade aguda do cobre, utilizando como organismo modelo o peixe Onchorhynchus mykiss. A toxicidade (CL50) variou de 23,14 µg.L-1 até  758,94 µg.L-1, resultando em um critério de qualidade de água de 354,61 ± 163,39 μg.L-1.
