The representation of the authority and its social context

Resumo: The knowledge organization can be studied under many aspects, in this paper, the aim is the descriptive representation. The historical, social and political context that fills the document and the user is critical to the reflection of the role of descriptive representation. It is noteworthy that the authorship can be represented in both bibliographic descriptions and the access points. To support this observation will be used some posters from a group of French artists called Atelier Populaire who promoted the class struggle in The May 1968. Conclusively, there are numerous elements that can be highlighted or disregarded in the representation, they must consider the different contexts.

Neste texto, o foco é a representação descritiva. O contexto histórico, social e político que permeia o documento e o usuário é fundamental para a reflexão do papel social da representação descritiva. Destaca-se que a autoria pode ser representada tanto na descrição bibliográfica como nos pontos de acesso. Para embasar essa reflexão, serão utilizados os cartazes do grupo de artistas franceses Atelier Populaire, que colocaram em evidência o dilema materialista-histórico da luta de classes em maio de 1968.
