Neste capítulo, fazemos um breve apanhado sobre pesquisadores e trabalhos importantes na Amazônia no área de Etnobiologia e Etnoecologia, sem a pretensão de esgotar o tema, mas retratando um panorama que mostra a importância da Região e seu potencial, considerando que reúne alta biodiversidade e grande diversidade cultural, com destaque aos Povos Indígenas. Assim, partimos do final do século XIX até os anos mais recentes, destacando alguns autores e publicações marcantes. In this chapter, we write a brief survey of researchers and important works on Ethnobiology and Ethnoecology in the Amazon Region, without the pretension of exhausting the theme, but portraying a panorama that shows the importance of the Region and its potential, considering its high biodiversity and great cultural diversity, with emphasis on Indigenous Peoples. Thus, we start from the end of the nineteenth century to the most recent years, highlighting some authors and outstanding publications.
