Summary: | The alkaline phosphatase (AP), aspartate-aminotransferase (AST), alanine-aminotransferase (ALT), lactate-dehydrogenase (LDH) and gamma glutamil-transpeptidase (GGT) enzyme activity was determined in 60 serum samples from clinically normal ovines and with hepatic hydatidosis. The samples were classified in four groups: group I - clinically normal; group II - with hyaline hydatid cysts; group III, with contaminated hydatid cysts; group IV - with calcified hydatid cysts. Each group had 15 serum samples. Physiologically, the mean of enzymatic activities were: AP (53.8), AST (88.4), ATL (2.3), LDH (481.3) and GGT (24.6). In the serum from animals with hydatid cysts (hyaline, contaminated and calcified) a significant increase of AP (79.0, 80.9 and 78.8), AST 105, 104.6 and 106.3), LDH (641.6, 653.8 and 678.0) and GGT activities (35.2, 37.4 and 38.0) was observed. The values are expressed as International Units per litre (IU/I). No changes in ALT activity were observed in any of the animals studied. The AP, AST, LDH and GGT enzymatic activities remained unaltered among the animals with the different types of hydatid cysts. |

Pesquisa Agropecuaria BrasileiraPesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira2014-10-13info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://apct.sede.embrapa.br/pab/article/view/1592910.1590/S1678-3921.pab1985.v20.15929Pesquisa Agropecuaria Brasileira; v.20, n.8, ago. 1985; 899-904Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira; v.20, n.8, ago. 1985; 899-9041678-39210100-104xreponame:Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online)instname:Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)instacron:EMBRAPAporhttps://apct.sede.embrapa.br/pab/article/view/15929/10034Láu, Hugo DidonetFan, Luiz Carlos RibeiroMachado, Cleusa Mariainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2014-10-13T16:26:14Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/15929Revistahttp://seer.sct.embrapa.br/index.php/pabPRIhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.phppab@sct.embrapa.br || sct.pab@embrapa.br1678-39210100-204Xopendoar:2014-10-13T16:26:14Pesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira (Online) - Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa)false |
