Advances and Setbacks of Educational Public Policies for Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in Brazil: The Use of Digital Technologies

Summary: | This research aimed to analyze public policies for Youth and Adult Education (EJA) in the teaching and learning process with digital technologies. The study employed a qualitative-quantitative approach of an applied and descriptive nature. As a data collection tool, a semi-structured interview was conducted with 13 students, 8 teachers, and 2 members of the pedagogical team at the Dona Pérola Byington State School, located in Pérola, Paraná. For the analysis and interpretation of the results, content analysis and categorization by Bardin (2022) were used. The results showed both positive and negative aspects of the use of digital technologies in EJA and highlighted the need for digital inclusion for all, investment in continuous teacher training, and the promotion of public policies for this mode of education. |

El estudio consistió en un enfoque cualitativo-cuantitativo de naturaleza aplicada y descriptiva. Como herramienta de recolección de datos, se realizó una entrevista semiestructurada con 13 estudiantes, 8 docentes y 2 miembros del equipo pedagógico del Colegio Estatal Dona Pérola Byington, ubicado en Pérola, Paraná. Para el análisis e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos, se utilizó el análisis de contenido y la categorización de Bardin (2022). Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación presentaron aspectos positivos y negativos sobre el uso de las tecnologías digitales en la EJA y señalaron la necesidad de la inclusión digital para todos, la inversión en la formación continua de los docentes y la promoción de políticas públicas para esta modalidad de enseñanza.Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar as políticas públicas da Educação de Jovens e Adultos(as) no processo de ensino e aprendizagem com as tecnologias digitais. O estudo constituiu-se de uma abordagem quali-quantitativa de natureza aplicada e descritiva. Como instrumento de coleta de dados, foi realizada uma entrevista semiestruturada com 13 alunos(as), 8 professores(as) e 2 pessoas da equipe pedagógica do Colégio Estadual Dona Pérola Byington, situado em Pérola, Paraná. Para análise e interpretação dos resultados obtidos, foi utilizada a análise de conteúdo e a categorização de Bardin (2022).
