Resumo: The Holy Spirit is the soul of the Church and renews all things, because those who experience baptism in the Holy Spirit have their lives transformed by the power of the Word of God. The Holy Spirit has been poured out throughout history, but at Pentecost we see the Spirit's fervent action and the birth of the Church and evangelization spread throughout the world. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal, an update of Pentecost (Acts 2), emerged in 1967, was desired by many as a new from God for the life of humanity. The people who were at the Duquesne weekend wanted to experience the baptism in the Holy Spirit in the early Church, as they wanted to deepen their prayer life, for a greater experience of faith and becoming aware of their sacramental baptism. The Church, through its popes, from Paul VI to Francis, has been confirming the current of grace as an action of the Spirit. The Renewal is born in the Church and from the Church, being the face and memory of Pentecost for the world, having as its founder the Holy Spirit, the one who guides the current of grace as a newness of the Spirit for all, allowing people to proclaim in life that Jesus lives and it is the Lord
