Effects of technology on the provision of accounting services: a study on the perception of managers

Summary: | This study aimed to analyze the perception of business managers about the effects of technology on the provision of professional accounting services. The research is characterized in terms of objectives as descriptive, in terms of procedures as survey type and in terms of approach as quantitative. The sample is characterized as non-probabilistic and was made accessible to 100 business managers. Data collection was through a structured questionnaire on a 10 (ten) point scale and prepared using the Google Forms platform. The method used to analyze statistics was through exploratory factor analysis. The results obtained indicated that 10 factors impact accounting services considering the technological environment in the perception of business managers, which are: reliability and security; agility and improvement; the integration provided; the time saved; instant communication; resolving unforeseen events; the company's growth; marketing; the effectiveness of activities and competitive differences that are directly impacted by the technological environment in relation to the accounting services offered. This study suggests that accounting professionals, when investing in technological tools, add value through greater perceived quality and customer satisfaction in the provision of professional accounting services. |

La investigación se caracteriza en cuanto a objetivos como descriptiva, en cuanto a procedimientos como tipo survey y en cuanto a enfoque como cuantitativa. La muestra se caracterizó como no probabilística y fue puesta a disposición de 100 directivos de empresas. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de un cuestionario estructurado en una escala de 10 (diez) puntos y elaborado mediante la plataforma Google Forms. El método utilizado para analizar la estadística fue mediante análisis factorial exploratorio. Los resultados obtenidos indicaron que 10 factores impactan los servicios contables considerando el entorno tecnológico en la percepción de los directivos de empresas, y son: confiabilidad y seguridad; agilidad y superación; la integración proporcionada; el tiempo ahorrado; comunicación instantánea; resolver imprevistos; el crecimiento de la empresa; marketing; la efectividad de las actividades y las diferencias competitivas que se ven impactadas directamente por el entorno tecnológico en relación con los servicios contables ofrecidos. Este estudio sugiere que los profesionales contables, al invertir en herramientas tecnológicas, agregan valor a través de una mayor calidad percibida y satisfacción del cliente en la prestación de servicios contables profesionales.Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a percepção dos gestores empresariais sobre os efeitos da tecnologia na prestação dos serviços profissionais de contabilidade. A pesquisa caracteriza-se quanto aos objetivos como descritiva, quanto aos procedimentos como do tipo Survey e quanto a abordagem como quantitativa. A amostra caracteriza-se como não probabilística e se deu por acessibilidade de 100 gestores empresariais. A coleta de dados foi através de questionário estruturado em escala de 10 (dez) pontos e elaborado pela plataforma Google Forms. O método utilizado para a análise da estatística foi através da análise fatorial exploratória. Os resultados obtidos indicaram que 10 fatores impactam nos serviços contábeis considerando o ambiente tecnológico na percepção dos gestores empresariais, são elas: a confiabilidade e a segurança; a agilidade e aprimoramento; a integração proporcionada; o tempo economizado; a comunicação instantânea; resolução de imprevistos; o crescimento da empresa; o marketing; a efetividade das atividades e os diferenciais competitivos que são diretamente impactados pelo meio tecnológico em relação aos serviços contábeis ofertados.
