The vocal health of teachers and their relation to the working environment point to the existence of risk factors that may be related to changes in vocal health of higher education teachers. In the classroom work, the voice is a key feature, as it is responsible for oral communication and the interpersonal relationship in the didactic mediation process, which justifies research on the effect of the sound environment about the vocal health of university professor. The study on the subject is to evaluate the sound environment and the risk factors associated with voice, the vocal quality of life of teachers in higher education, with a view to promoting health and improvements in working conditions. The methodology included a self application questionnaire with (23) twenty-three questions with objective answers, it is the first ten questions about the perception of vocal quality of life and the last thirteen on the perception of soundstage. The protocol used for data collection was the Quality of Life Measurement, Voice and Noise (QVV). In the first stage, the questionnaires have been sent via email to each teacher and in the second stage to cover a larger population, was delivered to the teacher's job sector. Fifty (50) teachers responded to the questionnaire, the study sample respected the separations Campus of action of teachers in the city of Curitiba and by sex, male and female. Search results on the soundstage indicate that the classrooms have excessive noise and reverberation problems, offering a high risk for the development of voice disorder and related to general health occupational order. The analysis of questionnaire about vocal health, show that teachers refer complaints of fatigue and sore throat. In the fields was observed correlations between the time of teaching, physical and total score and result in vocal quality of life of university professor. |
