Resumo: Emergency care for victims of road accidents is a challenging problem for society. Roads are often closed during accidents and the time taken to respond is a crucial factor in the survival of a seriously injured person. Faced with this urgency, air medical transport becomes the safest and most favorable modality for medical rescue. To solve this problem, we carried out a requirements analysis with the professionals who operate the aeromedical transport sector, in order to understand the details of this service and their needs in terms of computational tools for choosing the best means of assistance, including the location of the air support bases and hospitals, in addition to assistance in preparing flight plans. Given this perspective, this work applies the kNN selection algorithm to find the best ambulance, the most suitable hospital and the best flight plan to handle the occurrences with serious victims. This work also presents the suggestion of the main support bases for aeromedical teams and priority service areas to optimize the allocation of resources. The experiments used PostGIS and open data from aerodromes, helipads, hospitals and accidents on highways in the State of Paraná to validate the model and the air route planning service.
