Resumo: Residential satisfaction is an essential criterion for describing the quality of life of individuals, also impacting the degree of satisfaction with housing. There are several variables that influence the resident's satisfaction with their housing, and thus, the objective of the present research was to identify the main variables associated with individuals and the characteristics of the residential environment and the urban environment that influence the individual's satisfaction, in addition to the evaluations also referring to the performance of the housing and surroundings that impact and influence the individual's satisfaction with their residence. For this, 143 variables were related through a literature review, relating to the characteristics of individuals, housing, surroundings, and neighborhood. Based on this identification, a questionnaire was applied online to 279 individuals residing in Brazil's South, Southeast and Midwest regions. Based on the collected data, descriptive, factorial, confirmatory factorial, correlation, and path diagram analysis based on structural equation modeling were performed, in order to identify those that cause the most influence. As a result of the analyzed variables, it was observed that 34, 23 referring to the environment and 11 to the individual, impact satisfaction with the residence.
