Resumo: This research provides an analysis of the behavior of the electricity distribution network in the presence of solar photovoltaic generation, in the light of normative resolution No. 482 of 2012 from the National Electric Energy Agency. First, a bibliographic study was carried out on the insertion of the distributed photovoltaic generation within the technical and administrative scenario of Brazil. Then, a power flow study was developed, considering a fictitious energy distribution network, where photovoltaic generation was applied to the system bars until reaching the power limit allowed by current legislation. Through this simulation, the behavior of electrical network quantities, such as voltage, current, reverse power flow and power factor at various points in the system, was verified. In a second step, a bibliographic survey was carried out to find a calculation methodology that would determine the contribution to the short circuit by the power inverters used to connect the photovoltaic generation to the power grid. In this way, also with a fictitious distribution network, the short-circuit levels were calculated at a randomly determined point in the system. This calculation was performed more than once, as it was considered a gradual increase in the number and power of distributed photovoltaic generation, up to the limit allowed by the normative resolution. Thus, this research makes it possible, in a medium and long term horizon, to predict the behavior of the distribution network with the gradual insertion of distributed photovoltaic generation.
