Statistics is present in the daily lives of individuals and its teaching is mandatory in schools. Understanding the world and making decisions requires a critical analysis of information often transmitted using statistics. Therefore, this work aims to propose and apply activities involving descriptive statistics, in order to facilitate the students’ learning process. Therefore, four activities are available in this work that can help mathematics teachers to introduce some topics of descriptive statistics in an unconventional way. Thus, it was observed that with the use of these activities, the student was placed as the center of the action, participating in the construction of his knowledge.
