Resumo: This study aims to increase productivity and energy efficiency of a process of manufacturing recycled tissue paper in a paper plant in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, following the premises of Lean and Green Manufacturing practices. A systematic review of the literature was carried out, contemplating the last ten years of research in the areas related to the topic of interest. Thus, two projects are proposed, one using the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) methodology, focusing on improving quality and productive efficiency, and another aiming to maximize the effectiveness of energy resources, culminating with the proposal for the elaboration of an indicator to relate the two spheres. In the "Analyze" stage of the DMAIC, it was proposed to use the Expanded Multi-Indexed Methodology (MMIA), with deterministic and stochastic approaches, as a way of evaluating investment projects both to improve process and energy efficiency, not being found in the review works with this characteristic. The results obtained with the accomplishment of the present research denote the assertiveness in the choice of the techniques. The proposed investment projects were carried out, and in the "Improve" phase of the DMAIC, the cash flow of R$ 75.8 thousand was surpassed by a return of R$ 96.3 thousand in the first month after the installation of the equipment. Even with the variabilities applied, the project had a VPL of R$ 381 thousand with a 95% confidence interval for own resources. Also, we highlight the contribution to the environment by the saving of up to 1.033 MWh/year of electric energy in the production plant. The results obtained supported the framework created and followed as the guiding principle of the work, making the research unprecedented due to the combination of DMAIC, MMIA and Fuzzy-TOPSIS Multicriteria Analysis. Another contribution of the research is the possibility of replication of the model in different organizations with problems of energy and process inefficiencies.
