Resumo: | The prevailing social context on a global scale today, marked by socioeconomic inequalities and environmental degradation, emphasizes the importance of environmental education as a relevant strategy in the search for sustainability. However, despite the advances made in terms of its achievement in schools, this objective is far from being satisfactorily achieved in public educational institutions in Brazil; in particular, in the stages of basic education. Therefore, this research – characterized as an action research – sought to identify the main difficulties in this scope and propose a local solution applied in a public school in Paraná, with sixth and seventh grade students. The strategy incorporated the active gamification methodology to encourage student participation, motivate the teaching team and make Environmental Education a regular practice in the daily life of the school, remembering its interdisciplinary characteristic. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the project was carried out through a questionnaire to the teaching team and its analysis sought dialogue with the bibliographic reference and the improvement of the strategy. The results obtained revealed the relative effectiveness of the action plan in the local context, but highlighted substantial aspects for remodeling the project for its implementation in future opportunities. Finally, the possibility of its application in other educational institutions and the relevance regarding the development of new research on the subject were considered. |
