Qualidade de vida de funcionários de uma empresa automotiva do interior de São Paulo

Resumo: Introduction: The quality of work life (QWL) is presented with multidimensional concepts and development in modern society and is being included in the organizational environment of companies. The work is increasingly competitive and demanding, being moved by the speed of information generated by globalization and technological advances, defining the professional as a real power. Objective: To investigate the quality of life of employees of an electric lead-acid accumulators company, a company of electrical lead-acid batteries, the interior of São Paulo. Method: The study was conducted with 300 employees recorded by the Company Batteries Cral - Bauru, of both sexes, from March to July 2011. It was applied a questionnaire for the identification and the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire. Results: Most of the employees were male, married, were catholic, education level equivalent to high school, and housing. The mean age was higher in female employees. The mean domain scores were higher than 57.0, showing that the QL of surveyed workers is considered good in all areas: physical, psychological, social relationships, environment and self-evaluation, although the psychological and environmental domains were the had more low values. Conclusion: Although the good QL mean scores reported in most areas, which may positively influence the work, we emphasize lower values observed in both sexes in the fields Environment and Psychological. This may be related to stress in the work environment, job insecurity in the facilities or employment relationship. It is suggested reflection direction to direct actions related to the domains and can contribute to greater organizational effectiveness of human resource
